Quality Technician
Wiltshire - Salary £22,000
We are seeking a Quality Technician to work for a manufacturer in Swindon.
The hours are Monday to Thursday 6am – 2.30pm and Friday 6am – 1pm. The salary is £22,000, benefits include a pension scheme 25 days annual holiday plus statutory.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you are a member of the quality department with personal responsibility for ensuring that raw materials, components, subcontract services, manufacturing processes and finished products conform to specification.
Key Duties:
1. To support Production in the manufacturing of products to ensure that they meet specification and customer requirements, this includes existing and new production. This will include management and responsibility of the NCP process to ensure results are analysed and corrective actions implemented.
2. To undertake the inspection of selected purchased raw materials, components and subcontract services using mechanical measurement techniques and Epicor transactions. Communicate, control and eliminate nonconformities that you identify by establishing root causes and managing the implementation of corrective actions within the facility.
3. Undertake and become proficient in the random inspection of sub-assemblies and finished goods produced via the company’s manufacturing processes. 4. Establish yourself as an active contributor to the New Product Implementation and Engineering Change processes to ensure that product specifications and build instructions for future products and processes are clearly defined and understood by all stakeholders engaged in the manufacturing supply chain.
Your Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience of quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment.
- Organised and confident with good communication skills.
- Experience with electrical/electronic products.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
